Juan joined Dr. Elizabeth Wright’s lab in December of 2019 and is a graduate student in Biophysics. He is using cryo-ET to study prokaryotic appendages in pathogenic and non-pathogenic bacteria. He received his B.S. in Biology at Virginia Commonwealth University and his M.S. in Biology at Northeastern Illinois University. Juan successfully defended his Ph.D. thesis on December 3, 2024!
